DNA- genetic information/instructions to build proteins
Nucleus – Contains DNA & controls all cell processes (brain of cell)
Ribosomes- Build proteins (workers)
Endoplasmic Reticulum (smooth and rough)- Transport proteins (highway)
Golgi Body (apparatus)- Packages proteins to leave the cell (post office)
Cell membrane- Controls what enters and leaves the cell (allows proteins to exit cell)
Mitochondria- uses sugar to create ENERGY for the cell
Vacuole- Food and water storage
Cytoplasm- Jelly like material that fills the empty space in cell
Chloroplast- Uses sunlight to create SUGAR/Glucose through photosynthesis
Cell wall- Supports and protects PLANT CELLS
