We are considering some elements from the book of Joshua and seeing what type of lessons we can learn as Christians for today.

The grace of God does not negate the necessity of obedience on the part of man.
Sin often develops in stages.
When we are unsure about a certain action – before we do it – we need to 1st seek the counsel from the Lord.

Verse 9, “…you have wholly followed the Lord my God.”
Verse 14, “…because he wholly followed the Lord God of Israel.”

16. One memorial we observe today is the Lord’s Supper.
We need to remember other blessings too, even if we do not have “a set memorial” to help us remember.
“What shall I render to the Lord For all His benefits toward me?” - Psalms 116:12 (NKJV)
