1 Update on Industrial Attachment
Academic mentors will visit each student twice during their IA to assess their performance and provide feedback for improvement. Students’ performance in IA will be assessed but there is no letter grading! Grading will be CS/CU. Correct as of 26 Feb 2016

3 Timeline for Students doing SEP in Sem 6
Option 1 (Doing IA in Sem 7) Sem 5 Sem 6 Sem 7 Sem 8 SEP (Jul wk 2 to Dec wk 3) IA Design Proj (Jun wk 1 onwards) FYP FYP Pros and Cons Students would have completed their core modules before they go on IA. (Companies would prefer students to complete their core modules before coming for IA, esp consultancy firms.) Students would have completed their core modules before their Design Project and FYP.  Students have to do their FYP together with their IA in Sem 7.

4 Timeline for Students doing SEP in Sem 6
Option 2 (Doing IA in Sem 5) Sem 5 Sem 6 Sem 7 Sem 8 SEP (Jul wk 2 to Dec wk 3) IA Design Proj (Jun wk 1 onwards) FYP FYP Pros and Cons Students can choose to do Design Project in either sem 7 or 8. Students do not have to do FYP together with IA in sem 7. Students have not done a number of their design modules which will limit how much they can contribute in their IA. Students have to try to map their core modules and complete it during their SEP so that they have the required knowledge for Design Proj and FYP.
