This is the introduction to the large task for the Computer Game module. Students were given information about the large task. This task required students to use some software to design a computer game. In the live test, following this information screen, students viewed a brief video demonstration (creating using the same software application that has been used to produce this resource) of the large task software environment and key features of the task. The demonstration video for the students has not been included in this example module.

11A-11G: Trained scorers assessed each computer game according to nine criteria. The criteria assessed students' ability to create information products to suit the context and the medium. Students were given access to success criteria as part of the explanation of the task. Information literacy capacity was assessed according to the degree to which the information selected and included was relevant to the task and provided support for the game. Specifically students were asked to demonstrate control and planning, create realistic rules, provide content appropriate to the level of the game and optimise the layout. This task illustrates achievement at Level 4 on the ICT Literacy Proficiency Scale.
