4 Fig 3 Culture-positive suprainguinal graft limb infection predicts subsequent contralateral limb or main body graft infection 71% of the time. Isolated infrainguinal aortobifemoral graft (ABFG) infection has a negative predictive value (NPV) of 75% for subsequent contralateral graft limb or main body infection (P = .07). This finding should guide surgical decision-making in treatment of unilateral infection of an ABFG and surveillance. PPV, Positive predictive value. (Original drawing by Jeffrey D. Crawford.) 5 Fig 4 There is no difference in overall survival in comparing patients free from contralateral limb or main body graft infection and those who develop recurrent graft infection after unilateral graft limb excision (log rank, P = .84). Median follow-up was 44.6 months. n, Number at risk at time 0 of follow-up and at 50 months of follow-up for each group; + marks, indicate patients censored out when lost to follow-up.
