2. What is registration?
Registration is a thoughtful process of choosing classes for the following school year
Once students register, CT administration builds the master schedule based on student requests
Teachers are hired and sections are created based on student choices (this is why your schedule can’t be changed)

3. Why do I need to take registration seriously?
Master Schedule is based on student requests for classes
The elective courses you choose are requests. Since no course is guaranteed, choose alternates wisely!

4. Who Should I Talk to While Considering My Options?
Talk to your current teachers and your parents about class options
You may also consult with your counselor if you are uncertain about what choice(s) to make.

7. CCSD/School Policy
Cherry Creek School Board Policy requires that all students enroll in 4 core classes each semester
Sophomores and Juniors must schedule a minimum of 6 classes each semester
Seniors must schedule a minimum of 5 classes each semester
Plato, Math Intervention, and Guided Study do not count as one of the six
Students can register for up to 8 classes
Check course descriptions and prerequisites in Program of Study (found on CT website).

8. Other things to consider:
IB, Honors, AP, Concurrent Enrollment (CE), Career and Technical Education (CTE)
STEM, Liberal Arts Distinctions (Academic honor cords)

9. Things to Know… Registration in PowerSchool opens: 2/02/17
Registration in PowerSchool closes: 2/09/17
Discuss any concerns with your teachers, parents, or counselors immediately.
Involve your parents in the conversations and decisions
You are not allowed to choose teachers or off periods
