10 Lab Safety Ms.Ose will choose the lab groups today
Goggles, aprons and closed toe shoes must be worn to participate in the laboratory All materials can be disposed of down the sink

11 Lab Directions Part 1 Part 2 Be sure to only used distilled water
Prepare a 0.30 M sucrose solution in the larger volumetric flask at your lab station Perform the calculations for your stock solution and dilution before beginning the lab. Ms. Ose must sign off on the calculation before you begin using chemicals Part 2 Dilute your stock solution to the molarity on the index card provided by Ms. Ose in the smaller volumetric flask Be sure to only used distilled water Follow the directions on the worksheet as modeled by Ms. Ose’s demo

12 Molarity/Dilutions Practice
When you complete the lab activity, turn it in to Ms. Ose and begin working on the Molarity/Molality practice. Whatever is not completed in class will become your homework.

13 Exit Ticket Which molarity would be able to transmit the most light? What molarity would be able to transmit the least light? Explain.
