Before the Presentation Avoid all capital letters Avoid dark ink on dark backgrounds, fancy fonts or very small print Use caption in case videos are used in the presentation Create large print materials in bold and size 18 for handouts

Before the Presentation Have your presentation ready ahead of time Forward any requests for accommodation to the contact person in the conference

During the Presentation Assure that your room is able to accommodate assistive devices Ensure that the entrance area and doorways to your room are not blocked by extra chairs, backpacks or garbage bins Be aware that guide dogs are allowed everywhere at OISE

During the Presentation Have a few pages in large fonts handy for the audience Describe all the visuals as part of the spoken presentation Speak clearly and use simple language Allow lip reading by not turning or blocking your face from the audience

During the Presentation Repeat the questions aloud before answering them Be aware of the pace and volume of your voice during the presentation Participate in the effort to minimize scents in the OISE environment
