Coverage Amount
Current employees can purchase new coverage or increase coverage in salary multiples from 0.25 to 8 times annual base pay, not to exceed $3,000,000. You will have to answer some health questions.
Once you’re enrolled, your coverage will automatically grow as your salary increases.

The Opportunity for Tax-Deferred Savings
You can choose to make contributions to a cash accumulation fund. 1
The fund earns tax-deferred interest at guaranteed, competitive rates.
The rate may change, but will never be less than 4%.2
You can take loans at competitive interest rates or make withdrawals at any time for any reason.3

If the cash contribution exceeds certain limits and the GUL coverage becomes a “Modified Endowment Contract” (MEC), different tax rules, and in some cases, penalties apply for lifetime distributions such as loans, withdrawals, and assignments. A MEC can result from premium payments or from a reduction in coverage (such as the purchase of paid-up life insurance). If this applies, Prudential will notify the employee in writing of the status and advise of current options (if any) and by when the employee must respond. Important Notice: The acceleration of life insurance benefits offered under this certificate are intended to qualify for favorable tax treatment under the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, IRC Section code 101(g). If the acceleration of life insurance benefits qualifies for such favorable treatment, the benefits will be excludable from your income and not subject to federal taxation. Tax laws relating to acceleration of life benefits are complex. Enrollment is fast and simple
To enroll in Group Universal Life through Prudential’s website,
click here. The first time you access the site select the Create
an Account option, to create your own secure User ID and
Password. Then follow these steps:
1. Enter your employee ID, your date of birth (MM DD YYYY),
and the Access Code and click continue. For additional
security you will then be required to enter your Social Security
Number.
2. Create a personal User ID and Password. Your User ID must
contain letters and numbers and be at least six characters long.
Please note: your User ID and Password are case sensitive.
3. Answer the remaining questions, and click Submit.
