Course Description Certificate II in Agriculture (AHC20110 )
Certificate II in Agriculture provides students with the knowledge and skills that will enhance their employment prospects in the agriculture industry. This program covers workplace health and safety, farm maintenance, animal husbandry and machinery and equipment operation. Skills are developed in harvesting, maintaining livestock feed and water supplies, mustering, moving and penning up livestock, cropping and performing routine farm machinery maintenance. Students will learn how to work effectively in the rural industry as well as the basic technical skills to be a supervised worker. NOTE please read this in conjunction with general VET information

Certificate II in Agriculture AHC20110 For the award of AHC20110 Certificate II in Agriculture, students must achieve 17 units of competency: • two core units and • 15 elective units. Elective units must be made up of: – a minimum of seven units from Group A – a maximum of three units from Group C – the remaining electives can be chosen from Groups A and/or B. NOTE The full award requires students to successfully complete all units duration of course is 2 years. Competency based assessment
