It begins when warm water rises and creates thunderclouds.

The storm surge is 4-5 ft above normal.

A category 2 hurricane has wind speed between m.p.h.

7. Category 3 A category 3 hurricane has a wind speed of 111 - 130 m.p.h.
The storm surge is 9-12 ft above normal.

8. Category 4
A category 4 hurricane has a wind speed between m.p.h.

9. Category 5
