Swbat create an outline for their script/narrative
DO NOW: Find your group and decide on roles. Leader: This is the person that you send to me to ask questions. Communicator: Responsible for gathering all of the s and numbers for the people in your group. This way there are no “communication” breakdowns. Researcher: This is the person who will help research any ideas for the group on how to put together the script Writer: The person who will hand-in all of the task sheets from the group. Not the person in charge of typing the whole project-you should all do your part. Performers: These people will perform part of or the entire Act of your play/narrative.

DESCRIPTION A two-Act play, or a narrative of at least 5-7 pages that retells the essence of the Pygmalion story (Ovid’s). You need to decide what archetypes you want to copy and how you are going to change/modernize. For the play, it needs to be in two acts as to reflect change. The two-Act play should also be substantial. A script must also reflect stage directions. For example, Character A: (softly says) Please stop.
6
A COUPLE OF POINTERS If you are doing a play, decide on how many characters you need. Before the play starts, you need to establish the setting. Think back to Pygmalion and how it was written. Don’t forget to add-in the subtext: Example John: (stubbornly) I won’t do it If you are writing the narrative, establish the setting and the characters. Be consistent. Include dialogue. John said, “I won’t do it!”
