6. Criteria for invention….
Conduct a Poll ask people at home……..
Who would buy it? Lower class; 1st Shift workers; companies; private sell; police officers….
Demographics: What group of people are you targeting? young; old; men; women
Interest/Purpose: What is your hook, what purpose is your
invention for, why would someone want to use/buy?
Pricing: How would you price your invention and why give it that price?
Life: What is the life expectancy? Does it have a warranty/guarantee?
Does it involve collaboration with other companies?
Where would you sell it? Is it online only, exclusive, etc…
How much are your shares of stock?
How much would you allow someone to purchase (cap)?
What is your expected depreciation and appreciation? What factors would influence this?

7. Tips….
This is not a project you can wait and work on overnight. It is a time consuming project. This is why you have 2 weeks and 2 weekends.
The final items in criteria are explained when we go through our lesson.
Poll people at home to ensure your demographics are covered & that no one at school takes your ideas! Plus you can’t use other teacher’s class time.
Remember projects account for 30% of your final grade!
