The Front Cover The front cover of your Readers Notebook should be interesting and fun, and decorated to reflect who you are as a reader.

Book Log Tape it to the inside of the front cover of your Readers Notebook Every time you begin a book you will add it to your book log

Table of Contents Write “Date, Table of Contents, Page” at the top of the first page. Do this to the next page too.

Books I’d Like to Read Write “Books I’d Like to Read” at the top of page 1. Write the titles and authors of books you would like to read. Make a place to check off the books when you finish reading them.

Reading Survey Write “Reading Survey” at the top of page 3.
Answer the following questions in your Readers Notebook. Describe yourself as a reader. The kinds of books I like are… Reading is hard for me when… My goals as a reader are… Outside of school I like to spend my time…

Interesting Words Write “Interesting Words and Phrases” at the top of page 5. This is where you will write interesting words and phrases you come across while reading.

Number all of the Pages This is a total drag, but doing it now will save you heartache later on.
