How do MANY PEOPLE feel in a nursing home?
Lonely…since no one comes to visit them Sad…there is no excitement in their lives Depressed…looking at the same four walls every day SO HOW CAN YOU MAKE THEIR DAY JUST A BIT BRIGHTER?

BE A GOOD NEIGHBOR AND BRIGHTEN THEM WITH FLOWER!

SO HOW DO YOU DO IT? CONTACT A LOCAL FLORIST – MAKE A DEAL WITH THEM ON GETTING THE FLOWERS START COLLECTING BUD VASES – CLEAN OUT YOUR CLOSETS, GO TO YARD SALES, ASK YOUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS, OR BUY THEM CONTACT A NURSING HOME AND GET THE NUMBER OF RESIDENTS PICK A DATE TO DO IT – IT ONLY TAKES A COUPLE HOURS

WHAT DO YOU NEED….. A BUD VASE FOR EACH RESIDENT
A CARNATION FOR EACH VASE GREENERY FOR THE CARNATION CARDS PRINTED ON A COMPUTER PICKS TO HOLD THE CARD SCISSORS TO CUT THE STEMS

Steps to putting the vases together
Tip: do it at the site – impossible to put them together and transport them Usually done in the dining room of the nursing home

Fill the vases halfway with water

Make an assembly line t0 put the flowers together
1 carnation 1 piece of greenery 1 pick with the card (someone can sit and put the cards on the pick

The flower will look like this when done

Last step – deliver them to the residents!

Go to each room and briefly say hello to the residents if they are there. The smiles are worth the flower you give them!
