Percentage Change in State Higher Education Appropriations FY2006 – FY2015 Adjusted for Inflation -11.1% Last year there were only 8 other states had a reduction in state support for Higher Education. Wisconsin had the second highest reduction. On average, there was a 4.1% increase while Wisconsin decreased by 8.1%. Most states have been increasing there funding for a number of years now. There wasn’t data available for Illinois but all of our neighboring states have since increased their investment in higher education
