Root cells and structures: Onion – Review high and medium power Sketch one power (1/4 page) Identify and label cell structures I WILL STAMP Potato – LABELED View and Sketch medium power SKETCHES Label any biomolecule that you observe. 2. Label the following sketches: Elodea – cytoplasm, cell wall, cell membrane, chloroplast Onion – cytoplasm, cell wall, cell membrane, nucleus Potato – label the biomolecule you see in the cell The green oval shaped organelles are called chloroplasts. Describe the shape and location of chloroplasts. Why were no chloroplasts found in the onion cells? Create a diagram (box and T chart, Venn diagram, double bubble map) to show the differences and similarities between the onion cells and the elodea cells.
