Intellectual Property: Copyright – a form of intellectual property that gives the author of an original work exclusive right for a certain time period in relation to that work, including publication, distribution, and adaptation. Patent – a set of exclusive rights granted by a state to an inventor for a limited period of time in exchange for public disclosure.

Intellectual Property (continued): Trademark – type of intellectual property typically associated with a name, word, phrase, logo, symbol, design, image, or combination of these elements.

Ethics – values relating to human conduct, with respect to the rightness and wrongness of certain actions Plagiarism – to steal and pass off the ideas or work of another as one’s own; to use another’s production without crediting the source; to present as new and original idea or product derived from an existing source.
