Terms related to states State is a legal term – Nation is culturally defined Nation-state – the nation and the state’s boundaries are the same – or a very large majority Multinational state – a state with more than one nation inside Multi state nation – one nation stretches across state boundaries Stateless nation – nations that do not have their own state or are not the majority in more than one state Mircro state – very small – like Vatican city, Monaco, Satellite State – states with less actual sovereignty – basically they are coerced into doing another state’s will Satellite State?
