CARES is the process by which NORDAM communicates and manages Supplier Performance Expectations.
CARES provides the foundation for NORDAM’s Suppliers to exceed performance expectations and allow NORDAM’s Supply Chain to achieve Excellence.

6. The “CIMP”
In order to manage performance and accountability, NORDAM’s SCM Team will begin utilizing the CIMP form.
CIMP is the acronym for Continuous Improvement Progress.
The CIMP form will be the primary tool for communicating all open issues that currently or may impact the FLOW of materials.
The CIMP will be reviewed and updated weekly. It will be a living document that allows NORDAM and its Suppliers to ensure that all issues/concerns are tracked and resolved.
The CIMP’s will also be shared with NORDAM SCM Management to ensure communication of all outstanding Supplier issues/concerns.

8. Management of the weekly Teleconference.
CARES in Action
At its core, CARES depends on “hyper” communication between NORDAM and Critical Supplier Partners. CARES requires a weekly teleconference with each participating Supplier. These weekly calls will be facilitated and coordinated by a NORDAM Supplier Account Specialist.
The Supplier Account Specialist manages the following activities each week:
Management of the weekly Teleconference.
Communication of weekly PO Reports either Open PO or Past Due PO.
Communication of any and all on-going Quality or Engineering Related Issues
All issues will be documented and tracked on the CIMP Form until successfully resolved.
Manages the Escalation of any issue impacting Material Flow that is not able to be answered in a timely fashion.
Works with the Division Buyers to ensure that the performance metrics measured for the Suppliers are correct prior to completing the Supplier Scorecard.
