Production and Disposal costs Records daily consumption figures for all stock on feed together with prorated treatments, yardage & other costs

8 Feedlot Revenue Streams
Income from sale of the feedlot’s own cattle to processing plants Charges to Custom Feeding clients for feeding, medicines, yardage etc. A major component of this relates to margins made on the sale of commodities/rations to custom feeder clients.

9 Gross Margin Report Profit & Loss and Performance data for Lots of Feedlot owned cattle
Gross Margin = Sale price (Dressed weight) Less Cattle purchase costs Feedlot Costs per head (Calculated on exit) (In effect this is a Feedlot Trading Account)

10 Feed Sales Gross Margin Report
Profit & Loss and Performance data for Custom Feeder Lots Feed Sales Gross Margin = Value charged out to the Custom Feeder client for: Rations + Process + Medicine + other Less Costs to the feedlot attributed to the Lot for: Rations + Medicine + Processing + Other Cost

11 Close Out Reports Profit & Loss Report and Performance Statistics for cattle Lots on Exit
Performance Statistics: Days on feed, gain per head, ADG (Av. daily gain), feed conversion rates, feed stat’s, deaths/losses, head days etc P&L: Gross Cattle Sales (less discounts, freight & levies) less Cattle purchase costs. Calculates Net Profit for the particular Lot & NP per head. Highlights percentage & annualised return on equity

12 Cash Position Report Allocated and yet to be allocated costs per Lot and by class of cattle
Records, for each Lot : No. of Head In, No. of Deads & No. of Head Exited to date Total costs of cattle in the particular lot to date (Cattle cost + Purchase costs {e.g. Freight in, levies, buyers commission} + Feedlot costs {e.g. yardage, processing, medicines}) The costs allocated (prorated) to stock which have now exited the Lot The balance of costs yet to be allocated for all cattle in the Lot that have not yet exited. Does not include any Sales figures associated with the Lot.
