2 What is Description? Description is used to tell readers about the physical characteristic about a person, place, or thing. Description relies on the 5 senses: touch, sight, hearing, smell, and taste. Description is probably one of the easier modes to use.

3 What to include in description and why:
When writing a descriptive essay you should include: The 5 senses Figurative language (similes, metaphors, personification) Lots of descriptive adjectives/creative language Imagery Facts that are descriptive

4 How to organize Description?
There is no specific way to organize a descriptive essay unless you are documenting a person, place, or thing which in that case it would be chronological (we have examples if you don’t understand)
