47. Drama (a play) A story told in action by actors
Costumes, Scenery, and Dialogue are used to act out the story Drama is performed on stage Stage directions are written out along with character’s lines

48. Dialogue Conversation carried on by the characters in a work of literature

49. Stage Directions Words in a play which are not meant to be spoken by the actors Stage directions tell the actors and crew information about how to act out the play.

50. Tragedy A serious drama which tells a story that has an unhappy ending

51. Comedy An amusing drama with a happy ending
Comedy is not as serious as tragedy.

52. Satire A work that makes fun of human behavior or problems

53. Dramatic Irony When the reader or audience knows something that the character in the story does not know You already know this term. We covered it in the Short Story unit. Do not confuse this term with situational irony.
