Can have a good crumple zone
The pillars underneath the light bulb are great as a crumple zone. They tend to shatter and take the force of the impact. Pillars are great because the structure is lightweight. If the structure were to land on its side however, the pillars would not provide very much support.

6. Fencing Medium weight Light bulb is fairly secure and protected
Not a very good crumple zone

7. Stairs
If attached to the bottom or sides of structure can make a good crumple zone.
Can also make wings to create air drag.
