**the big thank you** Over the past several years, The Bert Show community helped to express a BIG THANK YOU with over a million hand written letters of thanks to every serviceman and woman deployed outside the United States. This year our goal is the same, but we can only do this with your help. Let’s pull together to make this project a success. **LMS campaign starts September 20th. **Letters due October 21st **Opportunities to write, collect, and deliver letters, create collection boxes, and arrange announcements for the morning news, in Ms. Stewart’s Lovnotes, to teachers, and on posters in the hallways.

**Storm drain marking project**
Calling for volunteers to help educate residents! In Cobb County, all storm drains lead to surface water, not to a treatment plant. By placing aluminum markers with our signature frog on storm drains, you remind the community that stormwater and pollution flowing into drains go directly to our streams. This is a great way to help improve local water quality and educate the community! What you will be doing… and what you can expect the day to look like. Once orientated, we'll be working on the school campus and in a nearby subdivision. Each group of volunteers will have a backpack with a map and supplies (markers, education materials, trash bags). Teams will distribute education materials to each home, mark all the storm drains, and pick up any litter.
