Include only what is pertinent and relevant to orchid judging and to the topic Be direct to the point Be brief with substance Don’t expound too much that you deviate from the topic and orchid judging When discussing the other parent, research on its influences in breeding both good and bad only which is important Don’t be afraid to ask and show your presentation to your mentors they will help you

Use neutral colors for your background and refrain from bright and harsh background and contrasting Font color Gray, Gray green or brown is good. Fonts can be white or black.

For F2 or more, it is nice to discuss the percentage of the species involved by adding a pie chart.

ACQUIRING PICTURES In Orchid plus – After searching and bringing up the list of species, hybrids you need, highlight the clone/award you want , click the image tab and click save. It will prompt you to save it on which folder. Just make a new folder and be sure to name folder e.g. Paph. bellatulum topics. It usually goes to documents and there is where you will find your folder.

ACQUIRING PICTURES In AQ plus – On the main menu, click on ‘Get Image’. This will go to the agreement window, hit agree. This will prompt you to save it on which folder eg. Paph. bellatulum topics, click continue. On the next window, just click on ‘Select Image’. Next fill in all areas in the search menu e.g. Genus and Name and hit continue. A collage of picture will show up. Right click all the picture you want to select. After you have done your selection, hit ‘back to get image’ then hit ‘make image file’. To look for you folder go too Program Files, click on AQ4.0, click on image folder then look for your folder Paph. bellatulum topics and click on it and all you selected pictures.

INSERTING A PICTURE AND SHAPES
To insert a picture or shapes, hit insert on the tool menu and hit picture or shapes. To resize the picture or shape, left click the corner of the picture and resize it without loosing its picture ratio. TIP: Be sure to type in the labels before you insert the pictures. It is easier to move the picture than to position your labels.

SAVING YOUR PRESENTATION
If you have PPT version that is higher, save it on your version and also on a lower version. So that if by chance you only brought your flash drive and you have to use another lap top it may not have your higher version of PPT and the computer cannot read or run your presentation.

Discuss only topics and subjects that are pertinent or relevant to orchid judging Be brief and direct to the point but with substance Ask for help from your mentors. They are there to guide you. Use neutral background and font color Use illustrations and pictures to support you talk Have a summary Acknowledge people who helped you and illustration and pictured you used and borrowed Rehearse, time and do dry runs your final presentation
