11 Determine the Course 1 2 3 Read: 067 Plot the course
Once we have identified the starting and ending points, we need to draw a course line. You can use the course plotter as a straightedge to do that. Next, you will want to know the Course angle. You place the center of the course plotter over the starting point and align it with the grid lines on the chart. Then, you read the course angle on the scale as shown. IN this case, the course will be 067 degrees. 1 Plot the course 2 Check it for safe passage 3 Measure the course direction (true)
