INSGNA BUSINESS MEETING DRURY PLAZA HOTEL
INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA OCTOBER 21, 2017
INSGNA President Ann Minnicus called the meeting to order at 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.
Ann explained that the business meeting would be abbreviated due to the short amount of time between the end of the Multiregional Conference and the start of the vendor program following the business meeting.

Ann Minnicus explained that INSGNA did not receive any candidate suggestions over the summer for the open officer positions of secretary, treasurer, and president-elect. The ballot was uncontested so no ballots were mailed to the membership. The slate of candidates for the open positions was recycled amongst the current board members. The candidates are:
President-elect: Susan Selking
Treasurer: Deb Nesbitt
Secretary: Susan Selking
Ann requested by a show of hands all members in favor of electing this slate of candidates, and then those opposed. No members were opposed to the candidates. The slate of candidates was elected and will take office January 1, 2018.
Ann asked the membership to consider becoming involved in INSGNA so that new people can become officers within the organization. All potential candidates need to be active members of INSGNA/SGNA , and must have served on an INSGNA committee for a minimum of two years. Ann specifically mentioned a need for volunteers for the education, membership, and program committees.
Ann Minnicus asked if there was any new business to address. No new business was raised.
A motion was made to adjourn the meeting by Dianna Burns and was seconded by Deb Nesbitt.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:12 PM Eastern Standard Time.
