SSKG3. The student will state the street address, city, county, state, nation, and continent in which he or she lives. Not Yet Demonstrated Student states none of the following: street address, city, county, state, nation, and continent. Emerging Student states 1-2 of the following: street address, city, county, state, nation, and continent. Progressing Student states 3-5 of the following: street address, city, county, state, nation, and continent. Meets Student states the street address, city, county, state, nation, and continent in which he/she lives. Assessment Activities Practice with children on a daily basis during calendar time, down times, and transitions. Using maps and/or a globe, explain the difference between cities, counties, states, countries, and continents. Teacher will keep a checklist throughout the year to track which children can state street address, city, county, state, nation and continent. Ask students the following questions: “What is your home address?” (may elicit street address, city, and state) “What city do you live in?” “What county do you live in?” “What state do you live in?” “What is the name of the country in which you live?” “What is the name of the continent in which you live?”
