2. What are landforms?
The natural shapes or features on the earth’s surface are called landforms.
There are many different types of landforms found on the earth.

3. mountain
                                     
A mountain is a place on Earth’s surface that is much higher than the land around it.

4. hills
Hills are rounded, raised areas of land that are not as high as mountains.

5. valley
               
A valley is a low area between higher lands such as mountains or hills.

6. island
An island is land that is completely surrounded by water.

7. lake
A lake is water that is completely surrounded by land.

8. ocean
Oceans are the largest bodies of water on earth.

9. coast
A coast is the area where the ocean touches the land.

10. desert
A desert is a dry area that gets very little rainfall.

11. river
A river is a long flowing body of water.

12. continents
Continents are the seven largest masses of land on the earth. Can you name all seven?
