Spain’s control over Texas in 1800’s is weak There are only three major Spanish towns in Texas (Nacogdoches, San Antonio, La Bahia) Comanche, Apache, and other Native Americans are in control of Texas at this time

The United States This is known as the LOUISIANA PURCHASE (1803) Spain disliked having France as a neighbor, they would soon have the same dislike for the U.S.
