2 Historical Significance
The Republican Party is a major party that was founded on March 20, 1854, the party has won 18 elections with their endorsed candidate. The party is usually generalized with conservative, right leaning supporters and candidates. Cartoonist Thomas Nast invented the famous republican symbol—the Republican elephant.

3 Gun Control Stance The Republican stance on gun control is that of the second amendment. You have the right to bear arms as an American citizen. This is to make sure your government submits to you (the people), to protect yourself and/or your family, and also to hunt.

4 Abortion Stance The Republican stance on abortion is unborn babies have the same rights as every other citizen in the country. They have the basic and fundamental right to live and pursue happiness.

5 Immigration Stance The Republican stance on immigration is that it is necessary that the immigrants go through legal immigration methods and legally work their way to citizenship. They do not support illegal immigrants coming in undocumented.
