I knew all the words I trust those around me I love this song I really enjoy nursery rhymes I love performing I am just brilliant at singing I’ve heard this loads of times before I expected to sing a nursery rhyme today Singing is amazing, everyone should so it I had complete confidence that you’d keep me safe I’ve done this loads of times before This is my favourite thing ever I did what was expected of me Everyone else is better than me I don’t know the words I don’t want to in front of my mates I don’t like the song It felt childish I’m embarrassed I’m not good enough I don’t know the tune It’s not what I’m here to do I don’t see the point I don’t trust you I don’t know the actions I’d rather be doing ….. Well, they say you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink, and I guess that’s true. But, you can do a lot of things to entice him to drink! Beanstalk Part 1 Training

You can show him how to drink day after day.
Read to the child, have fun, show your joy and enthusiasm Beanstalk Part 1 Training

You can lead him to the same watering hole at the same time every day and surround him with other horses who are drinking. You do this by turning up for regular sessions Again show your enjoyment and pleasure Beanstalk Part 1 Training

You can offer lots of different flavours of water and tell him how great the water tastes.

You can invite other horses to share testimonials about how wonderful their drinking experience has been and give him small samples that might make him thirsty. Leverage Peer Power If you read a book with one child why not get them to write a short review to sell it Beanstalk Part 1 Training

You can even present him with his very own custom bottle of water- flavoured with his favourite things. Match Kids to Books (Present him with a custom-flavored bottle of water): This is one of the most powerful (and underutilized) tools in our teaching toolbox for enticing reluctant readers: we must match them with books that 1)They can read and 2)They want to read.
