2. Purpose and Intended Outcome
Provide an update on Sustainability and Green IT progress including e-waste and green printing.
Intended Outcome
Agreement from CIO Council to:
integrate e-waste data destruction into University-wide IT security campaign (e.g. add local signage by hampers and blue tubes for e-waste, to clarify local data security / data destruction practices or lack thereof, for deposited items)
send a representative to an e-waste Lunch & Learn session for IT service managers
implement a link from School IT website(s) to the Ricoh website for Harvard, to enable access for local Ricoh contract managers
implement a link from School IT website(s) to green.harvard.edu/topics/it to emphasize IT support and contributions towards Harvard sustainability goals
support a Green IT session/proposal(s) at the 2017 IT Summit
