End Show Your Tablet PC Congratulations on your new Tablet PC! Your tablet comes with –a stylus –an extended battery –a power adapter –a personal case Lets see how it works.

End Show Placing the Tablet in the Case Unzip and open your case.

End Show Placing the Tablet in the Case Push the release latch located on the front of the tablet to the right in order to open it.

End Show Placing the Tablet in the Case Secure the tablet under the case straps. The bottom of the tablet should be behind the black straps and the monitor tucked behind the plastic straps. You must keep the tablet in the case at all times.

End Show Placing the Tablet in the Case When you receive your stylus, tuck the tether in between the tablet and case so it is out of the way when you close and zip your case.

End Show Closing Your Tablet Please close your tablet and case.

End Show Opening Your Tablet PC Push the release latch to the right to open the tablet. Slide the silver power button to the right to turn on the tablet.

End Show Logging In The network login screen will appear. Wait about one minute before selecting OK. Type your username: S and 6 digit ID# –ex: S123456. Type your password. You should have created a new password if you have already logged into a desktop computer this year (refer to next slide if you havent done so).

End Show Logging In If you havent changed your password: –Login to a desktop computer in your classroom Username: Capital S and 6 digit ID# (ex: S123456) Password: Lowercase s and 6 digit ID# (ex: s123456) –It will then prompt you to change your password After changing your password, wait 5 minutes and return to your tablet and log in.

End Show Important If you cannot log in, please let your teacher know. Your teacher will fill out a form and someone will be by to pick it up. ***Note – Please indicate the specific student issue on the Work Order Request Those students who cant log on may want to look on with a neighbor.

End Show Check Your Battery Your tablet is not fully charged. Once logged in you will be able to check your battery. Click on the battery icon in the notification area on the bottom right part of your screen. If you lose battery power during this period, a few students at a time can take turns plugging in to an outlet. You can also look onto a neighbors tablet to follow along.

End Show Going to Tablet Mode 1. Remove the plastic straps from the monitors corners. 2. Swivel the screen CLOCKWISE only.

End Show Turning the Tablet Screen Never try to force the screen in a particular direction. Forcing the screen could result in damaging the tablet monitor, which costs $703 to replace.

End Show Turning the Tablet Screen 1.Place the tablet screen back under the plastic straps. 2.Lay the screen down until it clicks and latches. 3.Remove the Velcro flap from the case.

End Show Turning the Tablet Screen 1.Carefully lift back the front flap. 2.Tuck it under the tablet. 3.You are now in tablet mode. 1. 2.3.

End Show The Stylus Make sure that your stylus is connected by the tether at all times. If you end up breaking/losing your stylus it costs $20 to replace.

End Show Screen Orientation To change the orientation of the screen, press the button with your stylus or finger (there is an opening where the button is). You can change the display to portrait or landscape mode.

End Show Steps to closing your Tablet PC (when in Tablet mode) 1.Push the release latch to the right and lift monitor up. 2.Remove the plastic straps from the monitor.

End Show Steps to closing your Tablet PC 3.Swivel the screen counterclockwise until it sets in place. 4.Once the screen faces you, place the monitor corners back in the plastic straps.

End Show Steps to closing your Tablet PC 5.Shut the tablet until it closes and zip the case. Always make sure to zip the case so your tablet is secure. Not zipping your case could result in the tablet sliding out and being damaged.

End Show Charging Your Tablet Plug in your power adapter into the back of the tablet every night in order to have a fully-charged computer for the next school day.

End Show Five Day Rule As soon as you know there is something wrong with your tablet, turn in a work order. You MUST turn in a work order within FIVE days of the accident or malfunction. Failure to do so may result in you having to pay for the repair. It is important to turn it in as soon as you know there is a problem.

End Show New Work Order This year, after the first week, there will be no paper work order forms. All repair requests will be completed online. You can access the repair work order website while you are on campus. You will not be able to submit a work order from home.

End Show New Work Order You can turn in a work order on any computer – your tablet, the computers in the classroom, the library computers, etc. It does NOT have to be completed on your personal tablet. The Work Order Request (WOR) is an online form, so it does require an internet connection.

End Show Setting Your Schedule The first time you login, it will ask you to enter your grade and your schedule. Please be as accurate as possible.

End Show Was it an Accident? Now you need to answer whether it was an accident or not.

End Show Describe Your Problem You will get different screens depending on whether it was an accident or not. Either way, please explain what happened and what is wrong with your tablet in detail. You must answer all questions in order to proceed. Click Save when done.

End Show Submitted! After clicking save, you will get a message that you have successfully updated the form. Click OK. You will get a message that you have logged out of the Work Order Request System.

End Show What Next? Now, take your tablet to the repair center during the designated times on your campus. When you get there, the repair center secretary will make sure your form is complete. IF YOU HAVE NOT ANSWERED the questions APPROPRIATELY and COMPLETELY, you will be sent back to class to edit your work order.

End Show Editing Your Work Order You will log back into the online WOR system. Once logged in, you should see the work orders you have submitted. Click on the top one to edit it.
