2. Teacher’s Notes
Slide 3- This is a warmer before doing any speaking part 2 from a text book. The idea is to get studenst to focus on the main objective of the task. Answers are 1-b, 2-a, 3-a, 4-b. Slide 4- Get your students to get their notebooks out and explain that the next part of the class is vital. Before showing the options you could ask what expressions they know for agreeing, disagreeing and suggesting. Try to make a point of saying that I am Agree is not aceptable, unless that is actually their name. Slide 5- I normally do this one a week or so later using another example question in a text book. This is to help students interact more and focus on making a decision. Slide 6 –Leave students a week or so before trying part 2 again. Remind them of the previous expressions. Then show them how using conditionals can help them get a better mark in grammar. Slide 7 – This shows how it’s always possible to use the 1st or 2nd conditional in this part. Then you can either do this question or use another one in a text book or past exam paper.

3. Speaking part 2
In this part you have to speak together, interact, and there is no input from the examiner. Discuss these questions in pairs. Choose A or B. 1- In this part you have to… A- Speak for long periods on your own.
