Have you or someone close to you ever had a broken bone or injured joint? Write about your experience using the scientific names of the bones and describe how it was treated. Which organs would have been affected if there had been no bones to protect them?

Use the meter stick on your desk to measure the length of your partner’s femur in centimeters. Write down the length in your binder.

3 Can your femur length determine your height?
Try it! 2.6 x femur length (cm) + 65 = HEIGHT (cm) Now find your actual height, and compare your findings.
