1 Remembering Jesus Luke 22:14-23

2 Memory

3 “Be careful that you do not forget the LORD your God, failing to observe his commands, his laws and his decrees that I am giving you this day. Deuteronomy 8:11-18

4 Otherwise, when you eat and are satisfied, when you build fine houses and settle down, and when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver and gold Deuteronomy 8:11-18

5 increase and all you have is multiplied, then your heart will become proud and you will forget the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. Deuteronomy 8:11-18

6  He led you through the vast and dreadful desert, that thirsty and waterless land, with its venomous snakes and scorpions. He brought you water out of hard rock.   Deuteronomy 8:11-18

7 He gave you manna to eat in the desert, something your fathers had never known, to humble and to test you so that in the end it might go well with you.   Deuteronomy 8:11-18

8 You may say to yourself, “
My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.”   Deuteronomy 8:11-18

9 But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today.”   Deuteronomy 8:11-18

10 Don Moen - God Will Make A Way
Oh, God will make a way Where there seems to be no way He works in ways we cannot see He will make a way for me Don Moen - God Will Make A Way

11 Don Moen - God Will Make A Way
He will be my guide Hold me closely to His side With love and strength for each new day. He will make a way, He will make a way. Don Moen - God Will Make A Way

12 14 When the hour had come, He sat down, and the twelve apostles with Him. 15 Then He said to them, "With fervent desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer; Luke 22:14-23 (NKJV)

13 16 for I say to you, I will no longer eat of it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God." 17 Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, "Take this and divide it among yourselves; Luke 22:14-23 (NKJV)

14 18 for I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes." 19 And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, Luke 22:14-23 (NKJV)

15 "This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me
"This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me." 20 Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you. Luke 22:14-23 (NKJV)

16 21 But behold, the hand of My betrayer is with Me on the table
21 But behold, the hand of My betrayer is with Me on the table. 22 And truly the Son of Man goes as it has been determined, but woe to that man by whom He is betrayed!" Luke 22:14-23 (NKJV)

17 23 Then they began to question among themselves, which of them it was who would do this thing.

20 …of God who takes away the sin
of the world - John 1:29

21 Romans 6:23 (NKJV) 23  For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

22 Romans 6:23 (NKJV) 23  For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

23 John 10:14-18 14 I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. 15 As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father;

24 John 10:14-18 and I lay down My life for the sheep… 18 No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself.

25 John 10:27-30 27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.

26 John 10:27-30 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand. 30 I and My Father are one.

27 Luke 22:15 15  Then He said to them, "With fervent desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer;

28 “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me
Luke 22:19

29 25  In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me."

30 26  For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death till He comes. 1 Corinthians 11:25-26

31

32 1 Corinthians 11:  Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

33 29  For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

34 30 For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep.
1 Corinthians 11:27-30 30  For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep.

35 28  But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
