3 Broad-Based Fees Fees that finance discrete activities benefitting student body: Athletics fee supports intercollegiate athletic activities College fee supports Buffalo State operations Health fee provides medical and counseling services to students Technology fee provides enhancements to campus technology Transportation fee funds Buffalo State NFTA Metro Pass Program

SUNY broad-based fee policy implemented in 2012 Designed to work in concert with rational tuition legislation Annually: Strong student consultation through open forums Annual increase limited to HEPI*, to cover: Mandatory costs (fringe benefits, collective bargaining) Expansion of existing services New services or upgrades to equipment Rolling five-year plan * Higher Education Price Index (HEPI) is a measure of the inflation rate applicable to US higher education.
