M&M’s!!! Do all m&m bags have an even number of colors?
Are there more red m&m’s than any other color, etc.

Data Tables are a neat and organized way to collect data
Graphs allow you to easily show the data in a way that people can draw conclusions easily. Statistics are mathematical tests that can tell us useful things about data Example: the mean, median, mode Standard Deviation: the mean of the mean
4
M&M Colors Trial RED BROWN YELLOW GREEN ORANGE BLUE
5
How to calculate Mean: add up all the numbers from a column and divide by how many numbers there are Median: Line up all the numbers in order and then pick the one in the center Mode: The most repeated number
6
Our Activity Step 1: Build a graph to compare the amount of each candy (GRAPH 1) Step 2: Compare your data to your neighbors data; Create a comparative graph using their data and yours (GRAPH 2) Step 3: As a Whole class; Create a graph to compare all the colors in the WHOLE bag (GRAPH 3) Step 4: Write a Conclusion paragraph describing your findings
