Each state has a governor. In Wyoming, the people vote for and elect a governor every four years. The governor’s job is to carry out laws, run the executive branch, propose new laws, and veto laws that they disagree with. The governor is basically the leader of a state.

States like Wyoming often build a large house for their governors. It’s called a governors’ mansion. The governor and her/his family gets to live in it for free while s/he is governor.

Old. Over a hundred years old! It was built in Originally, it was going to be HUGE with 15 bedrooms and a solarium. But for some reason, the government decided to make it a little smaller.
