Project 1 – Introducing Engineering Concepts in Existing Electives
Geology – Structural Analysis Quick Build Challenge After our earthquake unit I decided to have students design earthquake resistant structures using simple, easy to obtain building supplies. We brainstormed the building requirements (on the board) and students were allowed one day to plan the design their structure.

Principles of Engineering Course
Project 2 – Continued Work on RC Beams to be Incorporated into Next Year’s Principles of Engineering Course Senior Research Work – This is not yet an option for seniors, next year with the introduction of Fundamentals of Engineering it is highly likely. I’ve recruited a few seniors to pursue this work as if they could have had the option to make it their senior project and they are currently formulating their individualized research projects.
