Joint and Federal Arctic Maritime Forces Panel Three questions to consider: What are the more significant current and expected near-term challenges and concerns facing the operational commanders in providing defense and security (which includes law enforcement) within that commander’s assigned and implied responsibilities? What options are available and suitable within existing commander authorities, forces and resources, which would increase effective presence in the commander’s assigned and implied responsibilities? What are the emerging concerns and mission risks to the Commander’s operational tasks and forces that necessitate the need to further address policy, authorities and resourcing?
