5 Key Terms Place Value- the value given to a digit by its position in a number. Decimal- a number that has a digit in the tenths place, hundredths place, and/or beyond. Decimal point- a point between a whole number and a decimal fraction. Equivalent decimals- decimals that have the same value.

6 Mini Lesson You are an Olympic coach for Sanya Richards- Ross. You need to compare Sanya’s fastest sprint times with the other Olympians. Your Challenge: Find out how Sanya’s time compares to the times of the other Olympians. What place does Sanya come in?
