Hands-on Space Science Training for
State and Public Library Representatives On April 9-12, 2018, 100 state and public library representatives participated in the Science‐Technology Activities and Resources (STAR) Library Network’s hands-on space science training during the CSLP Annual Meeting in Denver, CO The Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP) is a consortium of 46 states, Washington D.C., and 6 territories that empowers public libraries to engage their communities The majority of survey respondents found the session very useful (57%) or useful (35%) This effort is part of the SMD Science Activation program and STAR Library Network Image credits: CSLP STAR Net did a wonderful job of demonstrating and teaching about its resources and encouraging scientific pursuits in the library, while also getting the attendees up, moving, exploring, learning, and having fun. - ~Session attendee~ Keliann LaConte, Professional Development Manager, Space Science Institute Luke Kralik, Organizational Coordinator, CSLP May 30, 2018
