1. Student PowerSchool Login
“Claiming Your Account”

2. Go to ccs.k12.nc.us

3. Scroll to bottom of page & Click on Home Base Login (IAM)

4. Select “Claim My Account”

5. Choose “LEA Student Claim Policy”
Then Click “Next”

6. Answer the following questions to claim your account:
Type in Student ID number
Student’s Grade Level
Student’s Date of Birth
YYYYMMDD
260 (LEA) number
Type this text here!
Your Student ID #
Your Grade Level
YYYYMMDD
260

7. Update Your Password Must be between 8 and 16 characters long
Must contain the following:
Minimum 1 Uppercase character
Minimum 1 Lowercase character
Minimum 1 numeric digit
Must “NOT” conain:
Username
First Name
Last Name
Spaces
Starts or ends with !

8. Password Change Complete
This message will appear (along with a list of security questions.
You only need to answer 5 questions!

9. Pre-Defined Security Questions – Choose 5
Click “Next” when you have answered the questions!

10. Message of Completion
Your challenge questions were successfully updated.
Your account has been claimed and is ready to use.
Close all windows.
Open your browser again to login!

11. Go to ccs.k12.nc.us

12. Scroll to bottom of page & Click on Home Base Login (IAM)

13. Enter “Login” Information…
User ID
Your Student ID #
Password
Your new password that you just created
If you LOSE/FORGET your password, your teacher can reset it to the DEFAULT password ONLY.
