Background In Leeds our Partnership work is inclusive across the City
Jobcentreplus in Leeds is keen to build on the offer extended in December Meeting held with Salvation Army to discuss offer in March 2018 Invite sent to all Foodbank in May 2018 for Universal Credit overview session at Oxford Place Changing customer groups in the City from 10th October Social Justice, Work Coach training, provision and support through Partners working jointly with Jobcentreplus.

10th October 2018 for new claims and anyone having a financial change in their circumstances 6 benefits- JSA (IB), ESA (IB), Housing Benefit, Income Support, Working tax credit & Child tax Credit Universal Credit Live turn off Managed Migration between Preparation is key- address, bank account details, housing information How to make a claim

Offer 1 A dedicated Work Coach assigned to support a Foodbank local to the customers Jobcentre To have booked and drop in appointments arranged by the Foodbank for the day of attendance Work Coach to facilitate access to support agencies suitable for the support of the customer Joint working with Foodbank staff to support the customer into work, to retain work, or to action plan to improve their circumstances with a view to work in the long term Jobcentre and Foodbank to work in Partnership to offer improved outcomes for those customers

Offer 2 Foodbank to refer customers to the Work Coach within a Jobcentre local to their home for support Dedicated Work Coach support to be available for telephone/ contact for customers Leaflets to be provided for use at the Foodbank Links to the Social Justice team for those with more complex needs Partnership Managers contact details for escalations

Eligibility criteria Voluntary service
Must want support to either find employment, retain employment or progress in current employment Want support to move out of current circumstances Happy to attend meetings at the Jobcentre for follow up appointments if required This service is not for benefit enquiries but we can sign post to relevant support
