Male , 26 years old with decreased visual acuity of the left eye
Introduction Clinical case Male , 26 years old with decreased visual acuity of the left eye Background: pineal tumor, bilateral strabismus VA: 1 RE, 0.1 LE Biomicroscopy and ocular pressure are normal Funduscopy and TCO: SEX AGE EYE INICIAL SYMPTHOMS FIRST VA SEROLOGY (IgG) TREATMENT LAST VA MALE 17 RIGHT BLURRED VISION, HEADACHE 0.15 1/1280 DOXICICLIN 100 mg / 12 h PREDNISONE 60 mg per day 1 26 LEFT LOW VA 0.1 1/256 CIPROFLOXACIN 500 mg 12 h DACORTIN 30 mg per day 0.6 45 METAMORPHOPSIAS 0.8 CIPROFLOXACIN 500 mg / 12 h PREDNISONE 60 mg per day

Conclusions The cat scratch disease is the most common cause of neuroretinitis A detail clinical history is important for the diagnosis (included travels, domestic animals, etc) Can go unnoticed due to the absence of systemic symptoms The roll of antibiotic and corticoide therapy is questionable
