Who are We the People ? Meaning: Every person in the United States Example: Creation of a SOCIAL CONTRACT The people agree to live under a government and have that government create laws all will follow. In return, the people gain the protection of the government…

What is a “Union” in context of the Preamble? Meaning: The “Union” refers to the United States. Example: The Amendment Process- We can add or change the Constitution No longer a confederation. Unity between the states
