Constitutional Monarchy Queen of England, Queen Elizabeth II is the Queen of Canada Governor General is the Queen’s representative. Is considered a “figurehead”. No real power. A part of both Executive and Legislative Branch

Prime Minister – Stephen Harper Prime Minister is the leader of the political party that elects the most members to Parliament. Part of the Cabinet of the Executive Branch.

Politicians appointed to the senate on the Prime Minister’s recommendation A part of the Legislative Branch House of Commons There are Government members and Opposition Members that are elected by voters. A part of the Legislative Branch
